***Main responsibilities**
***Deliver an effective level of service in all employee & labor relations matters.** **Support and guide the country leadership team in all areas of HR to support the strategic initiatives of the business.** **A Manager role is expected in a country with moderate complexity of labor laws and may not have a direct report staff.**
- Carries out responsibilities for compensation requirements including annual processes (merit/bonus) and ad hoc market needs.
- Collaborates with talent acquisition to ensure the right talent is brought into the organization.
- Partners with global functional HRBP's on business projects and other key business initiatives.
- Works with HR Business Partner in review of Employee Engagement Programs to ensure cultural aspects are taken into consideration, as well as local practices.
- Guides HRBPs on compensation and benefits proposals to ensure they are in line with country market rates.
- Works with Employee Relations team to ensure that individual managers are coached in the use of key Global HR policies and processes - for example on delivering feedback or handling difficult conversations. Answers managers' questions about any steps that are unclear and help them to identify different HR resources to use in specific circumstances.
- Supports Line Managers to on board new managers and new employees - providing key information about the local business unit and practicalities of the workplace. Conduct new employee orientation and start their Embark journey
- Responsible for creating and maintaining the local HR policies, procedures, and processes, in line with global policies and including any required country amendments to meet specific demands of the local business regulatory environment (e.g. in relation to local performance management practices). Ensure communication of HR policies etc. to managers and employees.
- Responsible for monitoring work rules and ensuring compliance with local grievance procedures and escalate to senior leadership teams either specific instances of rules being broken, or business-wide non-compliance with regulations.
- Ensures compliance with country-specific employment and other related legislation.
- Works with legal counsel to highlight to business leaders any legal or reputational risks in relation to key business decisions. Answers manager questions concerning local regulations, either in relation to general business strategy or specific employee cases.
- Works directly with leaders of employees where a performance issue exists for those employees below a Director level. For Director level and above, partner with HR Business Partner on manage performance issues.
- In partnership with global HRBP's, supports Company re-organization requirements by establishing the consultation / communication framework and ensuring managers have a step-by-step process for progressing through the changes. Works with managers to ensure completion of steps and manage the timetable for employee consultation, contractual changes, communications etc.
- Acts as a case worker for specific employee grievances or in cases of workplace conflict. Monitor grievance procedures, and ensure completion of appropriate documentation to maintain consistency, fairness and process integrity.
- Conducts workplace investigations in complex situations demonstrating effective listening, probing and investigatory skills with the ability to synthesize data, identify root problems/causes, and recommend actions to resolve in partnership with Legal
- Reviews monthly payroll cycles, provide payroll inputs to payroll vendor and ensures accuracy before processing
- Manage Country staffing and benefits budgets and forecasts
- Provides reporting and studies required by government bodies
- Liaise with actuarial consultant for valuation of post-employment and other long-term employee benefits
- Manages all Employee Relations issues and ensure appropriate legislation is adhered.
- Supports and guide the Sales and Customer Management team on RFP's for employee relations and compliance/legislative questions.
- Along with the applicable manager; negotiate termination settlement, dismissal or reduction in force agreements as necessary.

- Qualifications
**Experience & education**:
- **Experience**
- o Global experience and ability to work in a matrixed environment
- o Minimum 6+ years of progressive HR experience, with the majority of time in employee relations
- o Bachelor's degree
- o Global or local HR certifications preferred
- **Languages**
- o Strong command in written and spoken English and Bahasa Indonesia
- **Knowledge, skills and abilities (KSAs)**
- o Proven ability to make judgment calls and sound, ethical decisions displaying a heightened level of responsibility, confidentiality, integrity and professionalism
- o Highly collaborative, and comfortable working with HR an
