**Job Summary**:
We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Energy Marshall to join our construction project team. As an Energy Marshall, you will play a vital role in implementing energy management strategies and promoting sustainable practices throughout the construction project lifecycle. Your expertise in LOTO procedures in construction processes will contribute to optimizing performance in our construction projects.
**Responsibilities**:
- Ensure compliance with energy codes, regulations, and sustainability standards throughout the construction process, including energy efficiency requirements.
- Provide training and guidance to construction teams on safe-energization practices, including proper use of equipment, lock out-tag out techniques, and safest practices for working around energized equipment.
- Stay informed about emerging trends, technologies, and best practices marshaling and energization practices, continuously seeking opportunities for improvement.
- Vast experience in maintaining energized panels and understands the importance of tidy installation and cleanliness in panels to prevent arc flash incidents.
- Has a good knowledge of electrical safety requirements.
**Requirements**:
- Preferably Bachelor's degree in engineering, Energy Management, Sustainable Design, or a related field but not required. Field experience as an energy marshal or an electrician is more desirable.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in energy management, or a related field, preferably within the construction industry.
- Strong understanding of building systems, and construction practices, including familiarity with energy and electrical codes and energy marshaling certifications.
- Knowledge of construction processes, materials, and systems, with the ability to identify opportunities for improving safe energization and electrical housekeeping opportunities.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively communicate energy-related concepts, provide training, and collaborate with project teams and stakeholders.
- Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills to assess energization and schedule challenges, propose solutions, and implement effective energization strategies.
- Ability to work collaboratively with diverse project teams, contractors, architects, engineers, and energy consultants to achieve safe energization practices and meet schedule goals.
