Our core product is Fashion Rental Subscription using a "Netflix-for-Fashion" model, the first and only of its kind in the region.

**Job Overview**
As an Engineering manager, you will be one of the main pillars of StyleTheory's tech team, the go-to person for all things technical.
You will have a big influence on the company's technology direction and culture.
You will be expected to support multiple projects at once in different businesses and departments, while building and managing engineering teams to help Style Theory advance to the next level.
As an engineering manager, you will not be expected to manage a development team directly.
Multiple squad leads will report to you, who will have and manage their own teams.
You will be reporting to the Head of Engineering of Style Theory.
**Responsibilities**
- Hire, lead and mentor teams of diverse and capable engineers to grow new technical leaders from within the company
- Ensure continuation of Style Theory's tech culture of belongingness, getting things done and focus on self growth
- Help the development team on producing proper and elegant architectural designs and implementation of features
- Ensure communication of features and dependencies between all development teams
- Complete and improve product, processes, operations and technical documentation
- Work closely with product team and stakeholders to understand their priorities and anticipate product and business needs
- Ensure technical support is provided to stakeholders
- Help identify and push technical opportunities to improve our systems performance, availability, and maintainability
- Define long term technical roadmap for the organization
**Requirements**:
- Experience with managing one or more software development teams
- Excellent understanding of software development principles
- Strong knowledge of software development life cycle
- Experience with backend technologies (Java, Golang, PostgreSQL, etc.)
and system architecture designs
- Solid sense of priority and impact
- Quick learner with a problem-solving ability
- Get things done with can do attitude
- Proficient in written and spoken English

- Have experience in e-commerce and/or subscription based companies
- Experience with microservices and Kubernetes managed systems
- Experience with CQRS and messaging systems e.g.
Kafka
