ASEAN comprises ten (10) countries in Southeast Asia. It was proclaimed a community through the "Kuala Lumpur Declaration on ASEAN 2025: Forging Ahead Together", signed by the ASEAN Leaders during their 27th Summit 2015. The ASEAN Community Vision 2025 calls for the ASEAN Community in forging ahead together, and to work towards building a community that is politically cohesive, economically integrated and socially responsible.The Agreement Establishing the ASEAN-Australia-New Zealand Free Trade Area (AANZFTA), established in 2010 by ASEAN, Australia and New Zealand, and Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (RCEP) established in 2020 by ASEAN, Australia, China, Japan, Korea and New Zealand, include an economic cooperation chapter to support the implementation of the Agreement. Regional Trade for Development (RT4D) is initiative funded by Australia and New Zealand covering AANZFTA Implementation Support Program (AISP) and RCEP Implementation Support Program (RISP) to support eligible ASEAN Member States in fulfilling their FTA commitments and to assist the ASEAN Secretariat in servicing the FTAs and to ensure the full benefits of these agreements are realised.**Remuneration****Responsibilities**- Reporting to the Senior Officer for RT4D Program and Assistant Director/Head of External Economic Relations Division, ASEAN Economic Community Department, the Officer shall:- Policy and analyses- Assist in conducting research and substantive analyses to support policy recommendations related to the AANZFTA, and RCEP.- Support the preparation of discussion papers, policy papers, progress reports and Chair's report related to the AANZFTA, and RCEP.- Negotiation and implementation support- Assist in the implementation of the AANZFTA and RCEP.- Provide technical support in preparing meetings and negotiations for AANZFTA and RCEP, including relevant committees and subsidiary bodies.- Support follow-up actions and decisions through a tracking document.- Coordination- Support coordination between the FJC, relevant subsidiary bodies, and RT4D facility in developing the AANZFTA Strategic Directions and Priorities.- Provide technical support in the approval process of the AANZFTA Implementation Support Work Programme and Sector Work Programs.- Collate and manage the Annual Reports from the subsidiary bodies for annual review and approval.- Management of the Rapid Response Fund- Provide technical support for project design process with the relevant technical divisions in the ASEAN Secretariat- Prepare, assess, and manage proposals for the use of the Rapid Response Fund.- Support the approval process.- Assist in drafting and finalising expenditure reports for the use of the Rapid Response Fund.- Programme and project management- Provide technical inputs in the strategic development and implementation of the AISP and RISP.- Support the monitoring and evaluation of the implementation of the economic cooperation projects under AISP and RISP.- Support the approval process of the AISP and RISP funds annually.- Coordinate with the RT4D facility on the implementation budget and reporting mechanisms for the AISP and RISP.- Provide inputs to the RT4D facility on targeted activities that promote the objectives of the Agreements.- Public communications- Support coordination with the RT4D facility to map out and plan annual communication activities.- Develop documents and/or materials for the participation of the ASEAN Secretariat at seminars, workshops, and training courses as required.- Respond to inquiries from researchers/private sectors/public sectors.- Prepare communication materials including press release, joint media statements, public reports, as necessary.- Undertake other ASEAN Secretariat tasks as required- Prepare necessary documents for the meetings, including intersessional meetings, bilateral meetings, as well as other ASEAN meetings as necessary.- Prepare agenda, concept note, recommendation papers, report, or statements for adoption.- Support the enhancement of economic relations and monitor the implementation of the Agreements.- Provide other necessary ASEAN Secretariat support as required.**Qualifications**- An advanced university degree (Master's or equivalent degree) in international economics, International Trade, or International Trade and Investment Law or an appropriate related field or discipline; or Bachelor's degree with a minimum two (2) years relevant work experience in t
