As an FP&A Manager with a specialized focus on inventory control and analysis, your primary responsibility will be to manage, monitor, and optimize the inventory levels of our fashion, footwear and lifestyle brand within our large retail company. This role plays a critical part in ensuring efficient working capital management by analyzing inventory data, evaluating inventory aging, and making data-driven decisions to enhance the company's financial performance. Your work will directly impact the inventory procurement process, sales performance, and overall profitability.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Conduct detailed analysis of current inventory levels, trends, and aging to identify slow-moving and obsolete items.
- Develop and maintain a comprehensive understanding of SKU performance, sales velocity, and demand patterns.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand inventory needs and constraints.
- Utilize historical sales data, market trends, and other relevant factors to forecast demand for various SKUs.
- Develop and implement strategies for optimizing inventory procurement processes, including reorder points, safety stock levels, and lead times.
- Evaluate supplier performance and negotiate favorable terms to enhance procurement efficiency.
- Implement inventory tracking and monitoring systems/Dashboard to provide real-time visibility into inventory levels across multiple locations and channels.
- Create dashboards and reports for stakeholders to track key inventory performance metrics.
- Collaborate with finance teams to ensure that inventory costs align with budgetary constraints and working capital goals.
- Identify and mitigate risks related to inventory management, such as overstocking, stockouts, and supply chain disruptions.
- Generate regular reports and KPIs related to inventory health, turnover rates, and aging analysis.
- Continuously assess and enhance inventory control processes to increase efficiency, accuracy, and cost-effectiveness.
- Drive initiatives to reduce inventory holding costs while maintaining product availability.
**Requirements**:
- Bachelor's degree in finance, supply chain, or a related field. A Master's degree or relevant certification is a plus advantage.
- Proven experience in inventory management, financial planning and analysis, or a related field within the retail industry.
- Strong analytical skills with proficiency in data analysis tools and software (e.g., Excel, ERP systems).
- Excellent communication and presentation skills to convey complex inventory data to non-technical stakeholders.
- Knowledge of supply chain principles, demand forecasting, and procurement strategies.
- Familiarity with retail industry best practices and trends.
