Job Description:
1. Responsible for the shift performance & manpower arrangement
2. Carry out hands-on troubleshooting on Injection process to ensure product quality standards are met
3. Ensure first shot sample is reviewed & approved based on SOP before mass production.
4. Monitor & ensure process cycle time and product shot weight are within tolerance according to BOM.
5. Ensure process control by adhering to the tolerance of the machine master parameter. In the event of changes are required, master parameter shall be updated.
6. Perform regular part quality inspection as per checksheet & focus on rejection rate & downtimes reduction with swift response on problem solving.
7. Ensure machine downtimes and the reasons are properly recorded in the checksheet and Monitor system for report computation and improvement.
8. Train (OTJ) and guide Technicians and Material Handler to carry out their daily job function effectively.
9. Perform mould setup & carry out mold service (TPM) and machine autonomous maintenance according to schedule to maintain proper functions.
10. Carry out new material/mold testing.
11. Respond to cross functional department highlight on quality issues & abnormality.
12. Coordinate on mould, material changes & run out quantity according to production plan & feedback from related departments
13. Initiate and/or participate in quality improvement & downtime reduction activities.
14. Improve production workers working methods by providing guidance & briefing on product quality requirements.
15. Oversee mould and machine repair/servicing
Qualification:
1. Diploma in Engineering or related field.
2. Able to read and write simple technical reports in English.
3. Minimum 5 years experience as a Supervisor in plastics Injection Moulding
4. Competent in mould set up & Injection Moulding troubleshooting
5. Basic computer knowledge and able to work on shift.
