Geotechnical Laboratory Data Processor
Geotechnical Laboratory Data Processor is pivotal in bridging the technical and operational aspects of geotechnical projects by working synergistically with project engineers, laboratory engineers and technicians. This role is responsible for ensuring that the processed data is accurate, consistent, and effectively communicated to all relevant internal stakeholders, thereby facilitating informed decision-making and supporting the timely and successful completion of projects.
The key responsibilities and core activities of Geotechnical Laboratory Data Processor are as follows:
Data Analysis and Processing- Process and analyse data collected from field and laboratory tests.- Transform raw data into usable formats and ensure it aligns with project requirements.
Quality Assurance- Implement and monitor data quality checks to prevent and correct data integrity issues.- Ensure all data meets quality standards and protocols before it is entered into the system.
Database Management- Maintain and manage databases of geotechnical data, ensuring they are up-to-date, secure, and accessible.- Perform regular backups and recoveries as part of database maintenance.
Reporting and Documentation- Generate comprehensive reports based on processed data for further engineering analysis.- Maintain thorough documentation of data processing methods and any issues encountered.
Collaboration and Communication- Work closely with geotechnical engineers and laboratory technicians to clarify data requirements and resolve discrepancies.- Provide support in data interpretation and presentation for project teams and stakeholders.
Technology Utilisation- Utilize specialised software or Excel VBA for data processing and analysis.- Stay current with advancements in data processing technologies and software relevant to laboratory testing.
Requirement:
- Minimum Diploma in Civil, Geotechnical Engineering or related field; or equivalent experience in geotechnical laboratory testing.- Minimum of 1 year of experience in geotechnical laboratory testing.- Experience with data processing and analysis, preferably in geotechnical context- Relevant experience in ISO 17025 accreditation by Komite Akreditasi Nasional (KAN) will be advantageous.- Familiar with ASTM and ISO 17892 test standards will be advantageous- Strong analytical skills with the ability to manage large datasets.- Familiarity with MS office. Proficiency in Excel VBA will be advantageous.- Fluent written and verbal English proficiency.- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.- Effective communication skills, both written and oral.- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
