The GLP-1 Business Unit Director will oversee both the Marketing and Sales of GLP-1 within Indonesia. The team consists of highly motivated marketing and sales personnel who are passionate about improving the lives of patients with diabetes. Our products can make significant difference.
**The position**
This role will supervise the development and implementation of the local GLP-1 strategy and accelerate our GLP franchise to establish the future value of this portfolio in Indonesia. You will oversee coordinating with the Asia Pacific (APAC) Commercial Affairs and Strategy team as well as working on a cross-functional basis at a local level ensuring that all stakeholder/ customer needs and perspectives are considered, ensuring that local plans and tactics are prioritized to achieve the desired goal.
This position will report to the Vice President & General Manager and will be part of the Management Team.
- Provide supervision to the Product Manager and Sales Managers by ensuring that the appropriate structures, systems, capabilities, and values are developed to meet and exceed the goals of the business plan. Assumes overall duty for developing the annual marketing and sales plan for the GLP-1 Business Unit; for strategic market planning; market research programs; field oblige activities and control of the marketing and sales budget.
- Develop ongoing liaison with key insight influencers and other healthcare organizations and ensures the optimal utilization of internal systems designed for sales. Keeps abreast of the sales activities of the competitors and reports these to the local management. Monitors the sales coverage in related markets and gives advice to the local management for resource allocation and prepares and monitors GLP-1 Business Unit budget. Sets sales quotas and monitors realization and builds and maintains good relations with wholesalers and important accounts.
- Supervise the coordination and submission of the Sales Forecast to the Logistics Unit to ensure optimal stock-planning and ensures the reporting of market information and competitor activities monthly are collected and evaluated. Plans the successful launch of new products in the Indonesian market.
- Develop and implement both strategic and tactical local plans in alignment with Global and Regional directions. Develop and implement marketing campaigns for Diabetes brands to deliver both Sales & Marketing objectives as agreed in Anchor Budget (AB).
- Manage cross-functional launch team, develop, and realise the implementation of pre-launch & launch plans, including an issue management plan, monitor pre-and post-launch performance and supervise, manage, and develop direct reports through Novo-Nordisk of Coaching.
**Qualifications**
- As a Business Director, you should have a minimum bachelor's degree in Marketing, Medical, Business Administration or similar, preferably a Postgraduate degree.
- You have a minimum of 10 years' sales & marketing management experience and minimum 5 years' people management responsibility.
- You will thrive in a multinational environment and can skilfully navigate in a matrix environment with multiple stakeholders locally, regionally, and globally.
- You are armed with strong communication and negotiation skills, able to take initiative, work independently and fluent in both written and spoken English and Bahasa Indonesia.
