This exciting role, based in Jakarta, offers the opportunity to lead the development of new customer relationships across Asia, establish effective partnerships with local entities, and drive the growth strategy for Southeast Asia.
What you'll do:
As a General Manager for Business Development in the Mining Services sector, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the company's presence in Asia. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include developing new customer relationships in Asian explosives markets, establishing effective relationships with targeted local partners, and leading the growth strategy for Southeast Asia. You will also be tasked with driving the commercialisation of new products, services & technologies into Asia and coordinating competitor intelligence across the region. Your role will also involve supporting business development with multinational customers in Indonesia.
Develop new customer relationships in Asian explosives markets
Establish effective relationships with targeted local partners
Lead Southeast Asia growth strategy
Drive commercialisation of new products, services & technologies into Asia
Coordinate Asia competitor intelligence
Support business development with multinational customers in Indonesia
Ensure compliance with applicable HSEQ Performance Standards, objectives, as well as any applicable Acts and Regulations
Grow profitability of selected customers.
Review customer feedback implement effective action plans and maintain regular customer review meetings

What you bring:
The ideal candidate for this General Manager Business Development role will bring a wealth of experience from the mining services sector. You should have strong strategic thinking abilities coupled with commercial acumen. Your ability to deal with ambiguity and change will be crucial in this dynamic environment. Strong industry relationships are key to success in this role along with excellent written and verbal communication skills. A deep understanding of the explosives and mining industry is essential along with strong negotiation and selling skills.
