General management of Life Science department sales team, maintain a motivated team of sales and their KPI.
- Develop overall sales & marketing strategy, identifying target customers, setting long and short-term goals for sales team members.
- Work closely with local management team (GM), regional industry manager, group directors to align strategies with corporate goals and values.
- Responsible for monthly mid-range plans and yearly sales budget with particular emphasis on the turnover target & gross profit for sales team and identify resources needed.
- Provide leadership, determine SOP, assign tasks, understand sales team members concerns, supervise compliance with departmental policies.
- Plan and lead team meetings, assist sales team meet their KPI, promote collaboration between team members.
- Manage, develop, and understand the needs of growing customer base, making regular contacts and visits to build, maintain and manage relationships with key contacts at all levels.
- Identify and recommend new product range opportunities through market survey to identify customer needs, unserved and underserved market segments, monitor life science related market trends and look for competitor activities.
- Gather, analyze, interpret, and present market, product, competitor, and industry data to enable development of the forward strategy of the business.
- Carry out visits to target customers to promote products and provide feedback to business and suppliers of customer response and activity.
- Proactively monitor and review payment terms against customer portfolio, ensuring that payment terms and methods are adhered to, keeping business risk to a minimum. Ensure that payment terms and cash flow implications are considered at time of negotiation for all new and existing business.
- Communicate company goals to sales team and provide monthly/quarterly performance reports to company management by summarizing the current activities, issues, future strategies for continued growth.
- Provide regular reporting on market, projects, market analysis and sales forecasts, contribute to competitive intelligence, and strategic market assessment.
- Coordinate sales presentations and represent the team in relevant meeting with company management and principals.
- Train new sales employee include assigning tasks and creating schedule for sales team.
- Understand customer needs deeply and coordinate with regional industry manager about potential new product development and discover how to promote and sell effectively.
