Additional features and amenities to the urban hotel include a number of lounges and several restaurants featuring a variety of culinary offerings. For corporate events and local galas, the hotel features 3,500 square meters of function space, including a 1,200 square-meter ballroom.
**Job Description**:
Director of Marketing Communications
At Fairmont Jakarta, our Marketing Communications professionals are responsible for developing and executing marketing strategies that enhance the brand presence of the hotel, attract guests, and promote the various services and offerings. This role involves creating captivating content, managing digital platforms, coordinating promotions, and ensuring effective communication to engage both potential and existing guests. Showcase your creative flair and interpersonal skills as Director of Marketing Communications, where you will grow our market share with exciting promotional campaigns that showcase our exceptional guest offerings with the objective of generating revenue in mind.

What you will be doing:
- Content Creation
- Brand Messaging
: Craft and maintain a consistent brand voice and messaging across all communication channels, reflecting the hotel's unique identity and values.
- Digital Marketing
: Manage the hotel's online presence by overseeing social media accounts, website content, and online advertising to drive bookings and engagement.
- Promotional Campaigns
: Plan and execute marketing campaigns, special offers, and packages to attract guests for events, holidays, and seasonal promotions.
- Event Promotion
: Collaborate with the events team to promote weddings, conferences, meetings, and other events hosted by the hotel, both internally and externally.
- Partnerships and Collaborations
: Identify and establish partnerships with local businesses, travel agencies, and influencers to expand the hotel's reach and attract new customers.
- Visual Content
: Work with designers to create visually appealing graphics, photographs, and videos that showcase the hotel's amenities, rooms, and experiences.
- Public Relations
: Manage relationships with media outlets, influencers, content creators and journalists to secure media coverage and press releases that highlight the hotel's achievements and offerings.
- Market Research
: Stay up-to-date with industry trends, market demands, and guest preferences to adapt marketing strategies effectively.
- Analytics and Reporting
: Monitor the performance of marketing campaigns using analytics tools and provide regular reports to evaluate the success of different initiatives.
- Collaboration
: Coordinate with various departments within the hotel to ensure consistent messaging and alignment of marketing efforts.
- Serve as a key contact in the hotel for the media, industry partners and the community.
- Act as spokesperson for the hotel and as a member of the crisis management team
- Work with corporate PR to develop and execute brand initiative
- Maintain an up-to-date photo and video library, including a photographic record of all media and special events
- Conduct individual and media familiarization trips and regional media outreach/entertaining as needed
**Qualifications**:
Your experience and skills include:
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Hospitality Management, or a related field.
- Prior experience in marketing, preferably within the luxury hotel or hospitality industry.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in using digital marketing tools, social media platforms, and content management systems.
- Creative thinking and ability to tell compelling stories about the hotel's offerings.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Understanding of guest behavior and preferences in the hospitality sector.
- Knowledge of SEO, SEM, and online advertising.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Familiarity with hotel reservation systems and customer relationship management (CRM) tools is a plus.
- Passion for delivering exceptional guest experiences through effective communication.
