Description
We are seeking a talented and experienced Sous Chef with a background in Mediterranean cuisine to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will assist the Head Chef in managing kitchen operations, creating innovative Mediterranean-inspired dishes, and ensuring high standards of food quality and presentation.
Collaborate with the Head Chef to plan and develop creative and authentic Mediterranean-inspired menus. Oversee and participate in the preparation, cooking, and presentation of dishes, ensuring adherence to recipes and quality standards. Supervise and train the culinary team, ensuring they have the necessary skills and knowledge to execute dishes with precision. Manage kitchen inventory, ordering, and stock control to maintain optimal ingredient freshness and availability. Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment, adhering to food safety, sanitation, and standards. Contribute to menu planning, cost control, and kitchen budget management. Stay updated on current trends in Mediterranean cuisine and incorporate new techniques and ingredients into menu offerings. Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Sous Chef with a focus on Mediterranean cuisine.
- In-depth knowledge of Mediterranean cooking techniques, ingredients, and flavor profiles.
- Strong leadership and communication skills to effectively manage and motivate kitchen staff.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail and quality.
- Culinary degree or relevant certification is a plus.
- A passion for creating and serving exceptional Mediterranean dishes, and a commitment to culinary excellence.
