Looking to take the next step in your career? Hatch is currently seeking a HSE Representative to join our Commissioning team in Gresik, Indonesia.
This opportunity will see you working for Hatch on Freeport Indonesia's copper smelter and precious metals refinery project in Gresik, East Java. Once fully operational, the new smelter complex could process 1.7 million tonnes of copper concentrate annually into 550,000 tonnes of copper cathode, which can be further processed into electrical wiring, pipes and car batteries, among other products. The metallurgical complex will include a Smelter, Electro refinery and Precious Metal Refinery.
Hatch's project scope covers detailed engineering, award and procurement of pre-purchased equipment, contract formation, construction, and commissioning of the Precious Metals Refinery.
- Manage and empower employees to implement the business strategy and ensure employee role HSE accountabilities are clearly communicated and understood
- Rollout and promotion of training and awareness programs on site
- Communicate industry relevant safety incidents and ensure these are addressed appropriately
- Ensure that the site risk register is maintained and change is communicated
- Drive reduction in the frequency and severity of Environment, Health and Safety and Security incidents
- Promote a culture that ensures a high standard of reporting for Environment, Health and Safety and Security incidents and Near Miss events
- Management of HSE documentation / website / Network drives in accordance with Project policies and procedures
**You will bring to the role.**
- At least 5 years experience in a similar role in commissioning or operations as a Safety Advisor
- Formal qualification in Health and Safety
- Formal Qualification in Training and Assessment
- Experience in performing safety audits and inspections
- Experience in mentoring site personnel regarding the quality of safety systems
- Confident in delivering training / Safety awareness programs to all levels of the organization.
