**Objectives of the Position**:
- Ensure Indonesia contract manufacturers to have the license to operate to manufacture BASF's products by having the standards in place on Quality and EHS performance, manufacturing operations excellence, production capacity, and cost effectiveness.
- Responsible for business relationship management and contract management with contract manufacturers in Indonesia.
**Main Responsibilities and Key Activities**:
**FFP Contract manufacturing Strategy**
- Execution and implementation of Indonesia contract manufacturing strategy based upon APA contract manufacturing strategy.
- Responsible to review existing contract manufacturing landscape and evaluate potential new contract manufacturers within Indonesia as part of Indonesia contract manufacturing strategy.
- Support Indonesia Contract manufacturers on FFP (Formulation Filling Packing) technology as required.
- Lead the implementation of FFP (Formulation Filling Packing) technology transfer from BASF to the respective Indonesia contract manufacturers.
- Lead, coordinate and implement Indonesia product relocation and packaging sourcing/standardization as part of contract manufacturing consolidation strategy.
**Contract Management**
- Lead the contract negotiation and renewal with Indonesia contract manufacturers.
- Ensure BASF standards are incorporated into contract manufacturing process within Indonesian contract manufacturers.
- Coordinate and align delegated procurement activities related to contract manufacturing within Indonesia.
- Carry out regular visits to contract manufacturers as part of relationship management.
**Performance Management**
- Monitor and manage contract manufacturer performance in Indonesia via KPIs, benchmarks, audits, and defined parameters.
- Coordinate the enhancement of KPIs and target values within Indonesia in close coordination with relevant stakeholders (e.g.: marketing, business planning, SCM etc).
- Identify/Analyze cost drivers within Indonesia contract manufacturing processes and initiate plus implementation of cost savings measures for contract manufacturing, formulants and packaging.
- Identify and implement operational excellence initiative within Indonesia contract manufacturers to drive cost of supply and continuous improvement initiatives at Indonesia contract manufacturers' sites.
**Responsible Care (EHS) and Quality Assurance
- Contamination Prevention (QA-CPS)**
- Ensure sustainable implementation of action items from EHS/RC & QA-CPS audit results.
- Support audit team as required during RC and QA-CPS audits.
- Carry out regular visits to contract manufacturers to assess compliance against BASF's standards.
**Qualifications**:
- Bachelor's Degree in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, or relevant technical degrees.
- More than 8 years of relevant experience in chemical or related industries in production, engineering, supplier relationship management, and / or project management.
- Good understanding of chemical formulation processes, EHS and Quality management and relevant local regulations.
- Experience in management of risks associated to operations and formulations.
- Proficient and knowledgeable in contract manufacturing and plant operations management.
- Organization and strong personnel leadership skills.
- Fluent in both written and spoken English.
- Strong interpersonal communication, analytical and presentation skills.
