Job Responsibilities:
- Based in Surabaya
- Report to: Head of HR
- Develop and implement comprehensive industrial relations strategies and policies to maintain harmonious employee-employer relationships.
- Provide guidance and support to management and employees on labor laws, regulations, and company policies.
- Stay up-to-date with changes in laws and regulations, ensuring the company's compliance and making necessary adjustments to policies and procedures.
- Oversee and administer the process of compliance, including union contracts, wage and hour laws, and workplace safety regulations, and other general corporate matter (ex: OSS)
- Conduct investigations into employee complaints, discrimination claims, and workplace misconduct, maintaining a strong commitment to confidentiality and fairness.
- Prepare and maintain employment-related documentation, including contracts, handbooks, and records, to ensure legal compliance.
- Collaborate with legal counsel when necessary to handle complex legal matters.
- Work closely with HR and management teams to proactively address potential issues and foster a positive work environment.
- Keep abreast of industry best practices and emerging trends in industrial relations and employment law.
- Foster positive relationships with relevant government agencies, labor authorities, and external legal counsel to stay informed and maintain positive relationships.
Minimum Qualification
- 5+ years of demonstrated experience showcasing knowledge in industrial relation, legal managerial skills, employment manners, general legal corporate matters (OSS. business licensing, etc), compliance matter, fraud reporting and compliance, governmental policy and regulatory framework.
- Experience managing relations with stakeholders, Disnaker, different governmental organisations, and labor unions.
- Keen understanding of Indonesia's political system, environment, and institutions
- Ability to work cross functionally and contribute to the development of the company's compliance and employment welfare
- Ability to exercise judgement and persuasive skills, creativity, and the ability to work in a dynamic environment
- Proficiency in Bahasa Indonesia and the English language in both conversation and writing
Preferred Qualification
- Experience in industrial relation roles and legal manager roles for a FMCG company preferred
- Law degree preferred
