Security Clearance: Negative Vetting Level 2 (NV2)
Role The Information Officer ( IO ) role is responsible for maintaining Situational Awareness Services of the Indonesian and regional security environment including:
research and advice regarding the security environment and threats and risks monitoring and reporting on incidents and emerging threats develop and maintain regional security environment reports, incident database and incident mapping develop and maintain relationships with appropriate stakeholders and organisations to ensure open exchange of information provide a report quarterly outlining key security incidents, trends and changes in the security threat and risk environment provide support to regional travel, visits and events mentor and support the Security Guarding Force (SGF), and contribute to the development of security policies, Plans and operating procedures. Skills and Experience The IO must have:
at least five (5) years previous experience in intelligence collection, analysis and threat assessment with sound knowledge of contemporary intelligence analysis methodology excellent research and analysis skills excellent report writing, presentation and communication skills competency in software systems, including the Microsoft Office suite and an ability to conduct internet open source and social media discovery analysis relevant qualifications or accreditation obtained in government, policing or military roles, or through recognised private sector registered training organisations, and experience working in a high tempo, dynamic and challenging environment. The IO must not have a criminal record and must not have been dishonourably discharged from service or convicted under the Defence Force Discipline Act (1982) (or equivalent) or terminated from employment in a similar role.
Desirable Desirable skills and experience of the IO include:
previous experience working in a diplomatic environment previous in-country experience in a similar capacity experience with risk management including risk management planning and qualitative risk analysis in accordance with ISO 31000(or similar international standard) trained in first aid as a minimum to HLTAID006, and proficiency in the local language
