**KEY RESPONSIBILITIES**:
Capabilities
- Oversee manufacturing process and quality system assessment/audit to ensure vendor is compliant with WSI standards.
- Works closely with vendors to drive continuous improvement in quality and compliance.
- Acts on product deviations with a sense of urgency to understand the root cause and captures learnings.
- Secure root-cause analysis, stock correction and implementation of corrective and preventive actions following customer feedback and failed testing (Analytical test, Product Performance test, and Packaging test).
Lead and Secure
- Lead Quality Assurance in production and ensure key process control parameters are set and followed by vendors.
- Identify key risk areas and align actions to mitigate such risk during the production and follow up of the effective implementation.
- Perform product audits/ inspections to secure final inspection with regular follow up and feedback to the vendors regarding quality performance and work proactively to improve customer satisfaction.
- Communicate WSI requirements clearly and ensure implementation.
- Train and calibrate production and final inspectors to secure only good quality product that meets our standards leaves the factory.
- Lead improvement projects related to production processes and share best practices / knowledge by gathering and conveying product and production experiences to create pre-conditions for the suppliers to take full responsibility for their performance.
- Ensure product documentation is created and maintained at vendors for WSI and ensure the production implemented those requirements.
- Evaluate potential new supplier's production facilities and quality systems.
Implement & follow up.
- Ensure key processes and requirements according to WSI are implemented.
- Product inspection procedures followed, and competent inspectors are calibrated at all times at vendors.
- Ensure the production engineers and quality assurance department at vendors are communicated with updated requirements and ensure it is implemented. Communicate customer feedback and quality performance metrics and secure proactive actions.
**DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS & COMPETENCIES**:
Core Competences:
- Excellent knowledge in respective Home Furnishing & Decorative Accessories product category on constructions, materials, finishing, packaging, product, and quality levels
- Very good knowledge of production processes, production technologies, product requirements, regulatory standards, and process test requirements
- English written and oral communication skills and ability to update in-country and corporate office regularly.
- Knowledgeable in process evaluation technique and analysis of suppliers working methods and performance.
- Minimum of 5 years experience in manufacturing background in home furnishing merchandise.
- Understanding of product and materials value chain and cost aspects.
