**Learning and Development Specialist**
**Mission**:
The Learning and Development Specialist will help develop the competencies and boost the performance of Genashtim's staff by assisting with the implementation of learning and development activities.
The Learning and Development Specialist will be responsible for performing administrative tasks, coordinating with external and internal stakeholders, and facilitating some learning and development interventions.
Ultimately, the Learning and Development Specialist will help optimize employees' skills, performance, productivity, and quality of work.
**Job Overview**
- Work Setup: Remote
- Working Hours: 40 hours/week
- Required Shift: Day Shift (preferred to start work between 9am and 10am SGT)
- Reports to: Learning and Development Lead
**Job Description and Responsibilities**:
- Provide support to Learning and Development Lead in planning and preparing materials/venue/platform for learning and development events/activities.
- Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders on schedules for sessions on training needs analysis, and implementation of learning and development interventions.
- Provide support in managing training surveys as part of learning and development activities.
- Stay abreast of the new trends and tools in talent development to help the Learning and Development function strategize interventions that drive employee wellbeing, engagement, and performance.
- Prepare budget and transact directly with suppliers/vendors for materials needed for engagement initiatives. This may entail travelling to the supplier's location or doing ocular inspection of engagement or training venues, as needed.
- Maintain trackers related with learning and development activities.
- Provide support for awards planning and execution which entails assistance in awarding of tenured employees, preparing certificates and arranging for delivery of prizes/awards.
- Provide support for planning programs, preparing materials, scheduling, and sending invites for learning and development events.
- Responsible for creating user accounts, enrolling staff in approved courses and running reports in the company's LMS.
- Administer assignment of e-learning courses, workshops, and other trainings suitable to the needs of the company and the employees.
- Facilitate onboarding sessions for new joiners.
- Discuss employee handbook and any revisions of it.
- Review existing training programs; suggests enhancements and modifications to improve engagement, learning, and retention and/or to meet the changing needs of the company.
- Prepare drafts for learning and development activity announcements.
- Facilitate some learning and development events delegated by the Learning and Development Lead. This will just be 30% - 40% of the overall tasks.
**Job Skill and qualifications**:
- At least 2 years of experience in performing administrative tasks and coordinating events related to talent development in a corporate setting
- At least 1 years of experience in facilitating learning and development interventions in
- person or virtually.
- Familiarity of instructional design theory and learning principles
- Adequate knowledge of learning management software
- Familiarity with traditional and modern training methods, tools and techniques
- Familiarity with talent management and employee engagement
- Sound decision-making and organizational skills
- Ability to present complex information to a variety of audiences
- Experience in MS Office, Canva and other presentation tools.
- Passionate for continuous learning and has a growth mindset.
