**Duties and Responsibilities**:

- Negotiate, write, and execute agreements and contracts.
- Advise on a variety of legal issues that is referred to legal, among others related to contract, breach of management and non-claims litigation matter, regulatory and legislative matters, distribution of insurance product, data protection, and corporate governance.
- Undertake legal research and analysis as required.
- Advise executives within the company and work alongside employees in Business Units, Finance, Communications, Human Resources, IT and other departments within the Company.
- Provide legal assistance on various projects and deadlines.
- Advise executives on contract status, legal risks and Provide legal assistance on various projects and deadlines; business terms of various deals.
- Explain legal language.
- Provide technical support on company secretarial and corporate governance issues.
- Provide assistance with any regional/global projects.
- Ensure legal objectives and corporate policies are met.
- Research legal issues impacting the organization by identifying applicable laws and regulations.
- Keep abreast of legislative changes that may affect the company and its affiliates.
- Perform pre-litigation (for non-claim litigation) work to minimize risks and maximize legal rights.
- Assisting external counsel in litigation works.
- Review advertising and marketing materials to ensure compliance with legal requirements.
- Develop solutions to complex legal questions.
- Provide training to company and its affiliates on substantive legal topics.

**Qualifications**:
**Knowledge and Skills**:
**- Qualification**: Degree holder in Law and Business or other relevant discipline. Minimum 5 years' post admission experience, preferably in the insurance or finance industry. Experience in a U.S. multinational and matrix environment advantageous. Membership in an appropriate bar organization strongly preferred.

**- Professional Knowledge and Experience**: In-depth knowledge of general insurance operation is preferred. Finance, Audit or other relevant background or experience with knowledge and experience of local laws, insurance, business, regulatory, governance, risk and compliance management; regulatory relationship management and corporate governance principles.
- Prior experience as legal counsel in law firm a strong plus.
