**ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES**
The local product line manager (LPM) is responsible for developing and managing a basket of product supply strategy and managing all aspects of the suppliers' relationships. The key objective for this role is to achieve the best net value for Brenntag (specify the country) while meeting all service and quality requirements. As an LPM, you will have the opportunity to develop dynamic supply strategies which align with long term business objectives. Conduct market analysis, identify potential suppliers, manage the overall supplier qualification process, evaluate supplier performance, and drive continuous improvement within our supplier base.
**Key Functions of this role include**:
- Develop and manage strategy and supplier relationships for chemicals.
- Lead supplier negotiations, cost reduction and cost containment discussions. Implement supply agreements and contracts as needed.
- Work closely with the Regional Product Line managers (RPM) and account managers by providing category insights and proposals by analysing marketing and customer data and monitoring relevant market conditions.
- Work closely with product demand champions to ensure timeliness of replenishment and mitigate the minimum threshold of inventory to meet customers' expectations and corporate working capital.
- Select strategic (core) and non-strategic (non-core) suppliers who can provide the lowest total cost, product development, innovation, and quality requirements.
- Develop, manage, and measure supplier performance for multiple facilities leading suppliers in continued cost negotiations, cost reduction, and cost containment discussions, risk mitigation and value improvement for lowest total cost.
- Develop documented supplier continuous improvement plans. Support internal and external customers with, problem solving, supply chain optimization, resolving raw material quality and supply issues.
- Communicate market conditions timely to internal customers that may impact supply or costs. Develop, lead and participate on cross functional teams to effectively coordinate project activities and meet customers' needs.
Identify cost reduction and/or cost avoidance opportunities and implement action plans to capitalize on these opportunities / Leverage spend across the entire organization to achieve the lowest total cost.

**YOUR PROFILE**:
**Education/Experience and Skills**:
- Bachelor's Degree required; Chemistry, Chemical Engineering or Technical major will be highly preferred.
- 5 years of operations/business/industry experience is required; Sourcing experience will be highly preferred.
- Possess excellent verbal, written, analytical, presentation, organizational and negotiation skills.
- Demonstrate a drive and motivation to learn; be naturally inquisitive and have a process improvement mentality.
- Proficient with MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and SAP system, Qliksense.
