As the Logistics Supervisor at the Chili Fulfillment Center, you will be responsible for coordinating the transportation, distribution, and delivery of chili products to customers and retail locations. Your role will focus on managing logistics operations, optimizing transportation routes, and ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery of goods, with special attention to the unique handling requirements of chili products.**Key Responsibilities**:
**Transportation Management**
Coordinate inbound and outbound shipments of chili products, scheduling transportation and carrier services as needed, ensuring proper temperature control during transit.
- Optimize delivery routes and shipping methods to minimize costs and maximize efficiency while maintaining the integrity and freshness of chili products.
- Track shipment progress and communicate delivery status to internal stakeholders and customers, providing updates on special handling requirements for chili products.**Carrier Relations**
Negotiate contracts and rates with carriers and freight providers to ensure competitive pricing and service levels for transporting chili products.
- Maintain strong relationships with logistics partners and carriers, addressing any issues or concerns promptly, with a focus on adherence to chili handling guidelines.
- Monitor carrier performance and service quality, implementing corrective actions as necessary to maintain the quality and safety of chili shipments.**Supply Chain Coordination**
Collaborate with procurement and warehouse teams to ensure seamless coordination of inventory replenishment and order fulfillment, with particular attention to chili product availability and handling requirements.
- Forecast demand and plan logistics operations accordingly to meet customer requirements and delivery deadlines, prioritizing the timely delivery of chili products while ensuring product quality.
- Manage inventory flow and distribution channels to optimize supply chain efficiency, with special consideration for chili product shelf life and storage requirements.**Documentation and Compliance**
Ensure compliance with transportation regulations, customs requirements, and trade laws, with a focus on documentation accuracy and completeness for chili product shipments.
- Maintain accurate records of shipping documents, customs paperwork, and freight invoices, including special handling instructions and temperature control records for chili products.
- **Continuous Improvement**
Identify opportunities for process optimization and cost savings within the logistics function, with a focus on improving efficiency while maintaining the quality and safety of chili product shipments.
- Analyze logistics data and performance metrics to drive continuous improvement initiatives, with a specific focus on enhancing chili product handling and transportation efficiency while minimizing waste and risk.**Requirements**:
- Education: Bachelor's degree in logistics, supply chain management, transportation management, or a related field preferred.
- Able to communicate using english (speaking & writing)
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in logistics or transportation management supervisor, with a proven track record of success in coordinating shipping and distribution operations.
- Prior experience in the food industry or perishable goods logistics preferred, with knowledge of temperature-sensitive handling requirements.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with carriers, vendors, and internal stakeholders.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, coordinating multiple shipments and logistics activities simultaneously.
