**Description**:
We are looking for a Marine Staff Surveyor that can conduct marine surveying tasks assist in delivery of business to provide sufficient surveyor coverage in geographic area of responsibility whilst also to being familiar with all aspects of AB Marine services and key deliverables. This Marine Staff Surveyor should be able to undertake own chargeable time.
**What you will be doing.**:
- To familiarize with all aspects of ABL Marine services and key deliverables.
- To attend casualties and determine nature, extent and cause of damage.
- Estimate costs of repairs and subsequently compile reports for Clients.
- Business development activities include the promotion of Marine Engineering Consulting with local and international clients.
- Assist in marketing of ABL Marine and its services.
- Maintain own level of billable utilisation above 60%.

- Flexibility towards working hours.
- _Willingness to travel (including offshore) and work within a variety of time zones._
**What we are looking for.**:
- Master Mariner (STCW class 1), or equivalent with significant survey / marine consultancy related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
- At least 2 years relevant experience within the Marine Surveying and consultancy industry
- Accurate reporting and the ability to deliver high quality work on time.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills, strong leadership ability and be able to deal effectively with multiples issues and assignments simultaneously.
- Good decision-making capability with sound technical skills, analytical ability, good judgment and strong operational focus.
- Assertive and buoyant, forward-thinking with high ethical standards and appropriate professional image
- Well organized and self-directed individual with strong business/commercial skills.
- Outgoing and pragmatic with strength of character, proactive and insightful with good man management skills
- Team player with excellent communication skills
**Desirable**
- Navigation officer position on board
- Shore based management experience.
- Previous experience from similar role
- Other applicable experience (marine surveyor)
- Experience with marine surveying or consultancy
- Previous shore experience from similar role
- Teamwork character
