Additional Responsibilities:_**
- Lead the implementation of asset management systems which includes management of the long-term maintenance strategies and long term planning
- Lead Mechanical Maintenance group in providing technical support and direction to the Maintenance department smelter.
- Develop and implement strategies that lead to a continuous improvement in maintenance performance across the site.
- Ensuring adherence to site maintenance strategies based on analytical maintenance regimes and the use of common maintenance management system.
- Build effective capital and special maintenance plans to ensure long term equipment availability and reliability.
- Foster activities that lead to continuous improvement in the maintenance performance.
- Compile the maintenance budget for the section in accordance with the site requirements.
- Ensure maintenance costs are managed within the agreed budget and seek opportunities for cost reduction initiatives.
**Qualifications**
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, or related field and seven 10 years of experience in large process facilities.
- Prior major project management and/or start-up experience.
- Proficient in planning, scheduling, execution and follow-up of maintenance practices at large Smelter or Mining facilities.
- Working knowledge of CMMS and other business systems.
