**Responsibilities**:
- Proactively growing the product category to its full potential in support of brand strategies through the management of a dynamic merchandising team based across Asia
- Drive brand and portfolio strategies to source the best products at the best price. Communicate with Buyer, Planner, Designer to drive the business.
- Ensure cost efficient, well-planned and suitable implementation of merchandises strategies. Deliver quality product and consistent services that achieves or goes beyond brand requirements
- Manage planning, allocation, conduct, review and reporting of merchandising activities within product area to meet or exceed budgeted sales and ensure on time shipment delivery.
- Develop regionally focused sourcing plans to support product portfolio strategies.
- Manage a supplier base through building and maintaining productive working relationships
- Manage, develop and coach merchandise team members to achieve higher levels of overall performance.
- Provide timely and professional communication to all key stakeholders on merchandising team performance.
- Organize, plan, deliver and report on projects in line with business requirement
- Establish a clear standard in terms of sales, product category and product knowledge through effective execution of business strategy, for merchandising team to learn from and continue to take forward.
**Requirements**:
- 10-15 years of solid merchandising experience in Apparel, preferably in buying office environment
- Team management experience
- Sound knowledge of merchandising systems and procedures
- Sound financial management and business planning skills
- High commercial aptitude
- Ability to translate product trends to Australian market
