The Product Specialist is an entry level position responsible for assisting in the development of product plans, strategies and tactics in coordination with the Product Management team.The overall objective of this role is to coordinate the promotion of products to develop new markets, increase share of market and obtain competitive position.
**Responsibilities**:
- Assist the customer lifecycle strategy from acquisition through early client engagement and implement strategies to optimize portfolio performance
- Execute the strategic program roadmap, development, launch, and marketing to gain maximum benefit from each product
- Assist in the assessment of relevant customer, competitor, and industry insights to help define strategies to improve client experience and portfolio growth
- Partner with experienced Product Specialists on aspects of program life cycle management including the awareness of market demands, technology trends, and competitive field
- Provide insights on core marketing disciplines including product development, price, promotions, platform and pillars, and execute on program development including program launch and marketing
- Assist in overseeing product financial performance including identifying opportunities and gaps, and developing business strategies
- Assist in developing and communicating a business plan focusing on marketplace approach
- Work with Operations and Technology for process design and vendor procurement**Qualifications**:
- 2-4 years of relevant experience
- Working knowledge of marketing, credit, acquisitions, product development, and analytics with a bias for driving results
- Knowledge of the investment processes across asset classes
- Knowledge of product development and commercial acumen
- Demonstrated problem-solving and decision-making skills
- Demonstrated analytical skills
- Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication
- Ability to work unsupervised and adjust priorities quickly as circumstances dictate
- Ability to use statistical modeling and other similar techniques
- Ability to develop scenarios and forecasting to aid in business case development for portfolio growth and marketing investment
