Metocean Data Analyst

Job Description

Fugro has an exciting new opportunity for a Metocean Data Analyst to join our Metocean Consultancy team based in either our Kuala Lumpur or Jakarta offices. We are seeking an enthusiastic individual who is eager to analyse measured metocean datasets to gain valuable insights into the marine environment.

Roles and Responsibilities- Processing and analyzing a variety of metocean data from instrument locations, ranging from offshore oil and gas infrastructure to metocean buoys on future offshore wind farm sites;- Interpreting and undertaking detailed statistical analyses of the modelled and measured metocean datasets;- Report preparation and writing;- To ensure that all work is undertaken to the highest quality and professional standards in accordance with company procedures and project-specific documentation;

**Requirements**:
- A master's degree in oceanography or meteorology, or a related marine field is essential;- Knowledge of oceanic and atmospheric physics;- Knowledge of processing raw datasets from metocean instruments;- Knowledge of statistical analyses of metocean parameters;- Experience using and writing programming scripts in MATLAB and Python;- Experience in project management or client liaison;- Highly organised, efficient and self-motivated;- Team player
