This often involves utilizing computer models to aid in decision-making.- Designing plans for mine infrastructure such as tunnels, chambers, and shafts, incorporating effective mining methods and adhering to safety standards. Computer simulations may be used to aid in these plans.- Evaluating the risks related to technical, financial, safety, and environmental aspects throughout the project phases - from development to operation. Mitigation strategies are proposed as necessary.- Assessing process safety, extraction sequence, and stability of mine walls, analyzing potential hazards like slippage and rockfalls and recommending preventative measures.- Efficiently coordinating labor and equipment use while adhering to legal regulations, safety protocols, environmental considerations, and productivity targets.- Conducting research, providing expertise, and guiding engineering activities for petroleum and natural gas exploration, location, and extraction.
