Requirement
1. Minimum Bachelor Degree (S1) from a reputable university with a relevant background.
2. Having experiences as Music Teacher for at least 1 year is a must
3. Have good communication skill.
4. Having experience and knowledge in teaching the Cambridge Curriculum will be an advantage
5. Computer literate (MS Office, Google Suites)
6. English language proficiency
7. Love education and teaching
Jobdesc
1. Teaches knowledge and skills of music as part of the school curriculum; follows the guidelines as set out by the school which includes the theory and practice of general music, singing and playing musical instruments; helping students understand and read music notes and scales; also prepare students for practicals and exams.
2. Plans and delivers Music lessons in class by instructing students in a clear, concise, meaningful and fun way, and regularly preparing lessons that are engaging and incorporate the curriculum.
3. Manages the classroom and learning resources, ensuring the students feel motivated and engaged; establishes and maintains standards of student behavior to provide an orderly, productive environment during music lesson and other musical activities.
4. Evaluates academic and social growth of students, prepares report cards, and keeps appropriate records; prepares marking and provides assessments to facilitate positive students' development and achievements.
5. Documenting, providing feedback and reporting student's progress to the school, parents and other school stakeholders.
6. Works cooperatively with other school administrators in planning and creating an enjoyable learning environment to inspire students and help them grow in appreciation of music.
7. Provides appropriate safety instruction and makes safety checks on equipment at the music/band rooms to ensure the overall safety of students.
8. Coaches and supervises a series of regularly-scheduled musical talent programs and after-school activities for students; trains, assesses and evaluates each student's growth in music skills, knowledge and contribution to musical events and performances.
9. Acts as a role model by making the students feel supported and maintaining an approachable personality as a teacher.
10. Participates in various school events to better understand student interest and personalities outside of the regular classroom, build strong relationships with the students and aid in the strengthening of their self-confidence while inspiring them to achieve high goals.
