ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Oversees the technical execution of projects
- Efficiently manages an expert technical group in order to meet the goals and objectives of the site or campus.
- Responsible for obtaining external technical support needed for the business
- Provides comprehensive technical advice
- Facilitates resolution of complex technical and operational problems
- Promotes innovation initiatives for new products and ideas
- Reviews and approves technical documentation and ensures compliance with specifications and technical standards
- Communicates with internal and external partners, in order to coordinate and execute project plans
- Manages a project portfolio and assigns tasks according to the projected scopes to include: quality compliance and improvement, cost reduction, cycle time reduction, capacity increase, raw material qualification and launches preparation.
- Ensures implementation of multiple development plans of new products for business units.
- Monitors the execution of cross functional plans and programs and assigns the appropriate level of resources in order to facilitate attainment of project goals within established timelines and budget.
- Ensures that employees are trained and equipped with the tools needed to carry out their work in a successful manner
- Evaluate and implement improved manufacturing engineering performance management and tracking methods
- Establishes common technical standards
- Develops and leads expenses and capital budget for strategic forecast
- Ensures department compliance with company policies and procedures and government rules and regulations
- Provides direct or indirect leadership for technical teams responsible for component, equipment and/or processes
- Components
- Responsible for leading technical projects for suppliers related to capacity, competence and maintenance, in order to improve delivery, quality and supplier cost
- Responsible for providing technical support for validation/approval of changes in the supplier processes
- Responsible to provide technical support for resolutions of quality related aspects of the components
- Responsible to provide technical support in order to determine requirements of the tools and replacement tools in order to maintain component provision
- Identify and evaluate new equipment and process technology that improve production capacity
- Provides technical leadership and assist teams and plant in the areas of assembly, equipment test, manufacturing process, sterilization, atomization, vision control systems
- May coordinate BOM, Draft or RMI activities
