**Key Responsibilities**:
- Perform sterilization processes for medical equipment, instruments, and supplies according to established protocols and guidelines.
- Operate and maintain sterilization equipment, such as autoclaves and ultrasonic cleaners, ensuring their proper functioning and adherence to safety standards.
- Inspect and assemble instrument sets, ensuring completeness and functionality.
- Monitor and document sterilization cycles, including temperature, pressure, and exposure time.
- Maintain accurate records of sterilization processes and equipment maintenance.
- Collaborate with the CSSD team to ensure an adequate supply of sterile instruments and supplies for various hospital units.
- Assist in inventory management, including stock rotation, ordering, and restocking of supplies.
- Adhere to infection control protocols and guidelines to prevent the spread of infections.
- Participate in ongoing training and education to stay updated on the latest sterilization techniques and best practices.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to provide support and assistance during procedures, as needed.
**Requirements**:
- Valid nursing license, BTCLS, and relevant certifications.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in CSSD or sterile processing.
- Strong knowledge of sterilization techniques, infection control, and aseptic practices.
- Familiarity with different types of medical equipment and instruments.
- Attention to detail and ability to follow strict protocols and guidelines.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
