Objectives of the Position: Steer and develop LLP(s) / 3PL(s), and maximize their value realized through close relationship and intensive collaboration. Take care of service delivery management, service requests, structural and tactical escalation management. Define, monitor, analyze and rate service provider (LLP/3PL) performance against target KPI's, PI's, and SLA's. Analyze and provide opportunities for improvement, optimization, and effective management of LLP/3PL and carrier operations, incl. structural improvements with business units/service provider. Support development of risk assessment as well as contingency plans, apply respective measures in collaboration with service providers. Agility to have the improvement of business process and monitoring the performance of carriers, 3rd parties to ensure all the process aligned with the compliance and regulations applied to avoid business constraint. Main Responsibilities and Key Activities: Management of service provider (LLP/3PL) performance and contract adherence Execution of errors shipment cost, provide the root cause and seeking a way how to solve the errors computation in system SAP to get the status complete and no issue into the further invoicing process. Doing the analysis for tender utilization against allocation forecasted. Rigorous follow up of daily operations and reviewing LLP performances, ensuring to get zero constraint and no business disruption. Ensure all LSP deliver the goods on time accordance to BASF operation procedure including safety. Provide input to the definition, review, and update of KPI's, PI's, and SLA's as well as target values. Monitor, steer and improve the performance of Supply Chain suppliers, ensure ongoing service quality based on defined performance indicators. Conduct regular review meetings regarding LSP and LLP performance as well as participate in carrier performance review with LSP and LLP where appropriate. Provide input on contract management, tendering and implementation to BASF internal functions, e.g., GSB, legal, procurement, etc. Handle all interactions with supplier/ business beyond operational/ order-based transactions, e.g., manage escalations of issues beyond single order basis that require interaction both towards the internal organization and the partnership governance. Ad hoc, support and actively involve on problem solving of issues and challenges that IE C&FT have. Continuous improvement of overall Import / Export management, carrier, and service provider operations Derive opportunities for improvement and optimization based on the evaluation of performance and service level agreements. Conduct root cause analysis, define continuous improvement actions (from preventive/corrective actions to continuous improvement projects), monitor and drive continuous improvement execution, communicate best practice sharing globally across performance management teams. Risk management of LLP/LSP partnership and overall transport management Identify and assess risks together with the LLP/3PL, define counter measures and include them in the contingency planning Communicate risks within Import / Export Manager as well as to all affected stakeholder where appropriate. Execute contingency plans where required and derive appropriate updates to the contingency plan Support cost management of LSP and LLP services. Support Spot rate inquiry in MS Team Spot request system. Ensure LSP and LLP adherence to BASF standards, compliance procedures (regarding e.g. operations, cost, security, EHS, etc.), and to local, state and federal regulatory requirements. In case LSP and LLP needs to be replaced, support change management in period of transition and implementation of alternative. Qualifications: Education: College degree or above in international trade, logistics, supply chain or related discipline. Working Experience: Above 5 years working experience in logistics and/or import & export operation related. Working experience in chemical industry preferred. Technical & Professional Knowledge: Good capability in written and verbal English; Know customs regulation and processes in Indonesia Having experience in the transporter/ shipping line/ tank operator (Evergreen, Hapag, CMA CGM, similar) Having experience in vendor 3PL/4PL management Have intercultural competence, communication and language skills; Have proactive and solution orientated; Have issue handling skills; Skillful in software of excel, word ,PowerPoint and SAP
