Why you want the job and why it's awesome! As the Operations Manager, you oversee the day-to-day operations across all shifts at the PT Caterpillar Indonesia Batam facility. This facility is the sole source of Hydraulic Mining Shovels and plays a crucial role in increasing Caterpillar's capacity for mining products. Your responsibilities include leading a high-performing team of five hundred (500) employees, including twenty (20) operational leaders.

What You Will Do: Managing staffing, development, and performance management programs for operations staff; managing, motivating, and developing management team.
Overseeing operations activities, ensuring that safety, and schedules and performance requirements are met, and system resources are used effectively.
Driving improvements for overall operations performance and implementing production safety, cost, and quality control mechanisms
Ensures the compliance of all regulatory guidelines and forges a safe and sound manufacturing environment.
What Skills You Have: Manufacturing Operations : Knowledge of manufacturing operations; ability to perform day-to-day operations of a manufacturing plant or facility for products.
Manufacturing Standards, Procedures and Policies : Knowledge of organizational standards, procedures and policies in manufacturing activities; ability to plan, guide, and monitor manufacturing processes for compliance.
Manufacturing Safety : Knowledge of organizational standards, procedures and policies in manufacturing activities; ability to plan, guide, and monitor manufacturing processes for compliance.
Quality Management : Knowledge of quality management methods, tools, and techniques and ability to create and support an environment that meets the quality goals of the organization.
Planning and Organizing : Knowledge of the process of planning and arranging tasks and resources; ability to plan and organize both time and resources to get things completed while structuring and maintaining work in a systematic and highly methodical way.
What Will Set You Apart: The position requires a bachelor's degree or higher in Manufacturing Operations, Supply Chain, Logistics, or related field.
Five (5) to ten (10) years of experience in managing day-to-day manufacturing operations.
Professional English capability in reading, writing, listening and speaking.
Physical Requirements (With or Without Reasonable Accommodation): This job requires extensive active movement throughout the plant including climbing stairs and steps, lifting devices, and pushing and pulling equipment.
