Introduction
Your Role and Responsibilities
- This work requires someone with a college degree to perform duties such as:
- Understand, update and document financial business requirements and business processes, and arrange follow-up meetings to establish final requirements.
- Perform gap analysis between business requirements and target system platform capabilities.
- Suggest technical solutions that address financial business requirements and write functional specifications for SAP-related solutions.
- Provide system configuration as per the documented financial requirements.
- Maintain the functional specifications and configuration documentation as per QA requirements.
- Work with ABAP coding language and the business warehouse team to develop the technical solution proposed, work through the identified issues, and document the changes.
- Test the developed solution against the financial business requirements. Perform functional unit testing for the developed solutions and configurations.
- Support the IT (Information Technology) team to ensure technical solutions match financial business requirements.
- Execute testing scripts of financial processes on the target system platform.
- Schedule knowledge transfer sessions and perform knowledge sessions on the developed financial solution, and its integration with other functional areas of the client's business.
Required Technical and Professional Expertise
- College degree in a business or technical function
- 3+ years experience in SAP Enterprise Resource Planning software
- Full ERP project lifecycle experience, from Design through Build, Test, Deploy, and Post Production Support
- In-depth experience in Project Systems module of SAP
Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise
- SharePoint or Azure DevOps software for documentation repository and list needs.
- Microsoft365 software for communications, database, and form needs.
- ERP methodology and SAP Activate methodology for ERP systems implementations.
- Finance and Controlling processes and knowledge of US GAAP reporting.
- Understanding of financial internal and external processes such as General Ledger Accounting, Cost Center Accounting, Profit Center Accounting, Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, Asset Management, Gross Margin Reporting, Project Systems Management, Internal Orders, Treasury Management, and Consolidations functions.
