POSITION OVERVIEW PASTRY CHEF

RESPONSIBILITIES 1. Leading the team and ensure them to live within AMAN ambition, purpose, pillar & values
2. Ensure team member to be competent within core, leader (for leader), and technical competencies
3. Ensure the Bakery and Pastry Kitchen is managed efficiently and that Company and Resort Policies and procedures
4. Encourage the Bakery and Pastry Team to be creative and support the Food and Beverage Division's marketing and upselling activities.
5. Executes food handling and cleaning procedures in accordance with HACCP standards. Follows all HACCP procedures as set by the company.
6. Ensures compliance with food handling and sanitation standards HACCP.
7. Assists the Executive Chef with the development and maintenance of a detailed Department Operations Manual that reflects policies & procedures, work processes and standards of performance within the Division. Ensures annual review to accurately reflect any changes.
8. Manage food costs and kitchen operational costs
9. Commitment within the AMAN Kriya efforts (Sustainability)

QUALIFICATIONS 1. International experiences for 2 years in a similar position either in a 5* hotel or in high standards Restaurants
2. Profound Pastry & Bakery menu skills
3. Creative and outgoing personality with excellent communication and leadership skills
4. Value-driven and choose to belong to a value-based brand. Respect and adhere to AMANs ethical standards, and adaption to the cultural sensitivities of the unique location of Amankila where we live and work
