Payroll Supervisor

**Job Summary**
Execute and supervise the Payroll processing and administration function from end-to-end (e.g. issue reference manuals/guidelines, contract management, liaison with internal/external stakeholders, etc.)

**General Responsibilities**
- Support superior in managing day-to-day costs against budget relating to the payroll function to optimize usage of such budgets
- Monitor annual budgets allocated for salary review and other payouts to optimize spending on employee costs
- Ensure compliance of payroll reference manuals and guidelines by internal stakeholders to ensure alignment of in-house practices
- Monitor administration execution of end-to-end processing of weekly/monthly payroll and benefits, with an emphasis on accuracy and timeliness
- Manage updating processes of employee compensation and movement records (e.g. appointments, remuneration, transfers, promotions, cessation of service, etc.) to ensure accurate payroll administration
- Review and manage timely contract preparation for expatriates and senior employees (e.g. renewals, benefits, etc.) as part of employee contract management
- Review and ensure payroll and benefits administration information is accurate and in compliance to local legal requirements (e.g. employer/employee contribution, insurance claims, etc.)
- Review payroll and benefits-related management reports (e.g. monthly/quarterly/yearly reports) for internal and external stakeholders as a part of role accountability
- Review and propose improvements or enhancements to payroll processing, benchmarking industry best practices (e.g. system upgrades, process improvement, standardization to global requirements, etc.)
- Review and recommend external vendors suitability in implementing payroll improvement initiatives based on requirements needed
- Build relationships with internal stakeholders to manage incoming queries and stakeholder expectations (e.g. related to salaries, benefits, claims, etc.)
- Collaborate with external vendors on payroll improvement initiatives (e.g. payroll system upgrades, enhancements, standardization to global requirements, etc.) to gain smooth running of such initiatives

**Functional Skills and Knowledge**
- Demonstrate knowledge and understanding of the business and industry
- Demonstrate payroll management experience in organizations with similar workforce size, including knowledge of main payroll payroll software
- Demonstrate sound knowledge in labor law and employment best practices
- Demonstrate statistical and analytical skills
- Demonstrate proficiencies in office productivity tools (e.g. Excel, Word and PowerPoint)
- Demonstrate fluency in local language and ideally in English, both written and spoken

**Education**
Degree in Human Resources, Business Management or similar related discipline is preferred
