Today, a collective of 16,000+ Arupians gather across the globe from 140 different countries to build a sustainable future.At Arup, you'll do more than work — you'll shape a better world.**About this role**The primary focus of this role is to be the technical lead for the provision of structural and civil consulting engineering services for infrastructure (Transport, Energy, Water and Resources) sector clients of Arup Indonesia.**What will I do?**- The Structural Engineering Lead on selected infrastructure projects in particular in the transport area (Roads, Rail, Maritime) and be responsible for successful delivery of those projects- Lead preliminary, concept and detailed engineering design work across a broad range of projects in structural and civil engineering and related areas and provide design solutions or alternative design concepts for complex engineering problems and guide the structural design team members in implementation of those solutions in the design work- Manage the technical/design inputs and outputs on structural and civil engineering projects, ensuring work quality is maintained to the highest standard and carry out project coordination, client and stakeholders' relationship management and related business development activities with new and existing clients- Develop/improve technical design and project delivery skills of the structural design team on an ongoing basis and prepare them to take on more responsibility.- Provide input into the on-going skill development in the Infrastructure team through such activities as:- Mentoring of staff members including engineers and BIM/CAD operators- Playing a key support role to senior staff members in all formal and informal training-related activities**What will I bring?**- Bachelors' Degree in Structural/Civil Engineering from a recognised institution. Masters' Degree will be advantageous with at least of 10-15 years of relevant experience in and successful technical delivery of infrastructure structural and civil design works.- Significant technical experience in design of heavy civil engineering structures in particular bridges, cut & cover tunnels and maritime structures in the transport infrastructure space will be well regarded.- Relevant Indonesian licenses SKA/SKK & STRI. Chartered Membership of a reputable international engineering institution will be advantageous.- Familiarity with Indonesian and International Design Codes & Standards and ability to independently undertake complex technical analyses and design using structural engineering software and report on results and guide team members as appropriate.- Experience in managing and delivering key project outcomes in accordance with the client's brief and working in multi-disciplinary project teams and in the effective technical supervision and development of less experienced team members including structural engineers and BIM/CAD operators.**Our firm**Dedicated to sustainable development, the firm is a collective of 16,000 designers, advisors and experts working across 140 countries.
