At SkilledUp Life, we provide free volunteer opportunities to individuals by pairing them with tech companies. We help them build work experience and improve their career prospects. We currently have over 30,000+ volunteers from over 100+ countries who have utilized SkilledUp Life to build work experience, skills to land their dream job. Leaderboard App is being developed in order to help drive progress through gamified competitions. Leaderboard allows companies to be accountable and the accountability can then be turned into soft competition, helping each other to push hard and accelerate progress.
**About the Opportunity**:
We need a volunteer with product management knowledge and some experience to join the current team and help us bring Leaderboard to life. Your role includes building a product team that will specialize in:
- Product Market Researcher for understanding the market and positioning.
- UI designer.
- Additional software developers.
- Website designer to create the website
Priority is given to those who have studied Product management and have some demonstrable experience. This role reports to CEO of SkilledUp Life.
**Your Responsibilities**:
Working alongside the senior management team and other team members:
- Get an understanding of the product development to date.
- Create a product strategy
- Assemble the team including inviting past team members to return.
- Ensure everyone understands their role within the team and ensure delivery of agreed tasks.
- Create a product launch plan and launch the product.
- Seek customer feedback.
- Analyze Important Product Metrics
- Rectify issues.
- Collaborate with Stakeholders
- Optimize User Experience
- Ensure a successor is recruited one month before the end of the Volunteer Term.
- Supervise the product development process from beginning to end.
**Requirements**:
- Education and some level of experience in product Lead roles.
- Business analysis skills.
- A fundamental understanding of the Agile methodology and how to implement it from scratch.
- Product market research knowledge and/or experience.
- Fluent in English - both written and spoken.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Excellent record keeping.
- Experience in people management across teams and departments
- Self-learner and ability to execute tasks without any supervision.
- Ability to maintain the highest level of professionalism.
- A technical background in either product development or entry-level
**Duration**:
- 3 months.
- Part-time (2 or 3 hours a day).
- Remote
