**What You Will Do**
The position is responsible for:
Deliver leadership and excellence in manufacturing packaging operations and scheduling to meet demands. Manage the floor operations to ensure safety and compliance with cGMPs are maintained at all times. Oversee the implementation, and maintenance of manufacturing operations for new and existing products and technologies in a cGMP environment. Ensure the efficiency of material, equipment, and personnel in day-to-day operations.
- Key Responsibilities

- Lead and supervise packaging process operations (i.e., material handling, dispensing, equipment setting, line clearance, packaging process, and material reconciliation) according to standard operating procedures and batch records and ensure safe and compliant manufacturing operations according to EHS&S standards and cGMP requirements.
- Registered Alternate Pharmacist in Charge responsible for overseeing the handling and manufacture of precursor products
- Coordinates daily activities of the department and assigns instructions to the Area Leaders, Operators and Mechanics Operators during their shifts, for executing the Production Plan.
- Lead the daily start of shift operations meetings and the daily wrap up production meetings
- Build positive relationships with Production, Engineering, Warehouse, Planning, MS&T, and Quality to ensure seamless execution of daily production tasks and work as part of a cross-functional team to address production issues as the first point of contact for operators on the production floor.
- Collect and analyse Overall Equipment Efficiencies (OEE) on a weekly basis and develop action to resolve losses in OEE
- Participates in equipment maintenance, operator asset care program and assures the supply of materials, change parts and other necessary equipment, to ensure the efficiency and reliability of the operation.
- Provide leadership to manufacturing team on health and safety performance through awareness, education, and monitoring of incident performance including execution of corrective actions and liaison with EHSS and Engineering team
- In a timely and prompt manner, identifies, reports and seeks correction for deviations noted in the workplace.
- Responsible for ensuring production/ packaging process is conducted according to instructions in the batch records, review and ensuring data integrity in the executed batch records before submission to QA
- Support manufacturing investigations, any product complaint investigation, create/revise operational procedures, including manufacturing work instructions, master batch records, forms, and support and handle change controls.
- Attend GMP trainings on the schedule designated for the role and as appropriate for the role.
- Responsible for new Operator or Packer recruitment
- Ensures team members/ employees under the scope of responsibility are trained in required procedures for the execution of their role and maintains current with training requirements during the year.
- Conduct regular coaching and performance review with the team members
- Embraces a behavior of employee commitment to do the job right the first time.
- Work with Manufacturing Manager to help oversee the development of production personnel, provide input on personnel performance.
- Support the development of manufacturing processes and work with cross-functional teams to drive continuous improvements and efficiencies within manufacturing Operations (Safety, quality, cost, productivity improvement). Integrate best practices, where appropriate, into manufacturing.
- Participate in various site projects and handle challenging priorities in a fast paced and dynamic environment
- Monitor departmental operating expenses (OT, contract workers, Supplies) and help develop budgets.
- Job rotation between Production and Packaging as part of development
