We are developing a global network of sorting and recycling plants, starting in the Netherlands, Indonesia and Brazil.
After the first three projects we will soon expand to other countries and cities.
**Job Description**:
The Major Projects Director will take full global responsibility for the origination of utility-scale infrastructure for the beneficial re-use, particularly recycling of plastics.
Subject to arrangements with and capabilities of development partners, the role is expected to include:
- Lead the development and delivery of utility scale plastic recycling plants in Indonesia and potentially other SE Asian locations.
- Support origination team with securing investors and debt financiers.
- Support origination team to secure initial government support, identify land.
- Lead regulatory (planning) approval processes.
- Lead concept design and FEED processes to secure FID.
- Lead EOI and tender processes for design, construction contracts.
- Lead client side project management through delivery phase.
**Qualifications**:
- Strong engineering, construction or project management degrees or the equivalent through hands on leadership of projects and/or construction businesses
- 15+ years overall experience in the development and deliver of major infrastructure &/or industrial plants with a minimum of 5 years in leading construction projects in Asia, client side or for major construction contractors
- Excellent relationships in engineering, construction, operations and maintenance communities in infrastructure space, particularly in Indonesia
- Deep experience and proven track record in managing the development process for major projects, particularly utility plants including with engineering companies, consent authorities, government stakeholders, local communities, utility providers, waste industry and transport authorities
- Entrepreneurial, flexible leader who can work in an Agile way (including with Minderoo and related entities) to fast-track recycling infrastructure
- Tenacity and coalition-building skills
- Passion for the environment and eliminating plastic pollution
