Team and Role Introduction:
The Project Manager within the Logistics Strategy Department is responsible for overseeing and orchestrating complex initiatives aimed at enhancing operational efficiency and driving business growth. This position demands exceptional leadership, analytical prowess, and stakeholder management skills to navigate multifaceted projects with a broad range of stakeholders.
Responsibilities:
-Strategic Planning: Collaborate with senior leadership to define and align project objectives with the overall logistics strategy, ensuring projects are geared towards achieving company goals related to cost optimization, service improvement, and market expansion.
-Project Definition and Scoping: Identify project requirements, set clear goals, and outline project scope, timelines, and budgets. This includes conducting feasibility studies and risk assessments to ensure projects are viable and aligned with organizational priorities.
-Stakeholder Management: Engage and manage a diverse group of stakeholders, including internal teams (e.g., operations, finance, tech), customers, vendors, and third-party logistics providers. Effective communication and negotiation skills are crucial to ensure all stakeholders are informed, engaged, and supportive throughout the project lifecycle.
-Complexity Navigation: Lead and coordinate multiple concurrent projects, often with interdependencies, requiring the ability to prioritize, problem-solve, and make decisions under pressure.
-Efficiency and Growth Drivers: Implement innovative logistics solutions and process improvements leveraging technology, data analytics, and industry best practices. Continuously monitor project progress against KPIs to identify areas of improvement and drive process efficiencies that contribute to bottom-line growth Job Requirements Requirements/Qualifications(must have):
-Bachelor's Degree: A bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Project Management, or a related field is typically required. Higher education, such as a Master's in Business Administration (MBA) or a specialized master's degree, can be advantageous.
-Relevant Experience: Extensive experience (typically 5+ years) in project management or management consulting, with a focus on strategic projects in logistics, supply chain, or a related field. Experience in managing cross-functional teams and projects with high complexity and ambiguity.
-Project Management Tools: Proficiency in using project management software and tools like Microsoft Project, Asana, Trello, Jira, or Smartsheet, along with advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel for data analysis.
-Problem-Solving: Adept at critical thinking and creative problem-solving to navigate project complexities and mitigate risks.
-Strategic Thinking: The ability to think strategically, align project objectives with broader business goals, and contribute to long-term planning.
-Adaptability: Flexibility and resilience to manage change, pivot strategies when necessary, and work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Requirements/Qualifications(good to have):
-Project Management Certification: Professional certifications like PMP (Project Management Professional) from the Project Management Institute (PMI), PRINCE2, or Agile certifications demonstrate a commitment to the profession and understanding of project management best practices.
-Data Analysis: Familiarity with data visualization tools like Tableau or Power BI is a plus.
