We represent our client that is a well-known manufacturer and retailer of gold jewelry in Indonesia, with a wide range of designs and collections to cater to different tastes and budgets. They have been in business for over 40 years and have built a strong reputation for quality and craftsmanship.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Conduct market research to identify potential suppliers and maintain a strong supplier network especially suppliers in the manufacture machine area.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to determine material requirements and specifications.
- Evaluate supplier proposals, negotiate contracts, and establish favorable terms and conditions.
- Monitor supplier performance, including quality, delivery, and cost, and take necessary actions to address any issues.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure a reliable and efficient supply chain.
- Stay updated on industry trends, market conditions, and new product developments to make informed purchasing decisions.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to optimize inventory levels and manage procurement budgets.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and ethical standards in all purchasing activities.
**Requirements**:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in purchasing within the gold jewelry industry.
- Proficiency in Mandarin is a must and willing to travel across Asia.
- Strong knowledge of gold jewelry materials, manufacturing processes, and industry standards.
- Proven track record in supplier management, negotiation, and cost optimization.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with internal teams and external suppliers.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to make data-driven purchasing decisions.
- Proficiency in using purchasing software and tools.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or a related field is preferred.
