**Position Overview**:
This position is responsible for coordinating with the merchandising team and agents/vendors/factories to carry out new product lab testing, GCC review, manage random draw for high risk items. Provide training to factory for ensuring the outgoing goods from Asia can fulfill company quality standard.
- **Identify potential problem**_
- Identify potential problem from "sampling through production".
- Understand the product's critical points/features and monitor critical areas of production at vendors/factories to meet this challenge.
- **Production Support / Process Control**_
- Plan/follow weekly schedules and provide production support in process control with vendors/factories based on equipment and capabilities.
- Train agent/vendor/factory QA staff the Company's quality/measurement standards for specified area(s).
- Monitor production to ensure consistently high quality standards are met - monitor agent/vendor/factory performance and evaluate capability levels based on the company's requirements and conduct BOM (Bill of Material) checking, in-line and final inspection.
- Coordinate with agent/vendor/factory to resolve any quality issues identified and drive for improvement.
- **Vendor Relations**_
- Maintain open communication and maintain good relationship with agent/vendor/factories.
- Understand agent/vendor/factories strengths and weaknesses so as to implement effective and efficient quality inspection strategies and activities.
- **QA Report**_
- Prepare and submit up-to-date QA inspection report for management and vendor/factory's review.
**Qualifications**:
- Post-secondary education or equivalent in Textiles /Clothing or related discipline.
- At least 5 years relevant experience in buying office of 3rd party lab, on-site factory experience is desirable.
- Excellent understanding of manufacturing process.
- Familiar with US Garment Testing Standard.
- Self-starter, ability to work with general supervision.
- Ability to multitask and respond to unexpected urgencies.
- Proficient in MS office, experience with PLM is a plus.
- Good command of written and spoken English.
