Quality Control SupervisorKey responsibilities:To lead the Quality Laboratory staff and provide an effective operation of laboratory functions in a manner which complies with the Corporate policy as specified in the Hempel Convention and with the strategic plans for Hempel Paints (MEW) including Quality Assurance Procedures complying with ISO 9001 standards.Key tasks:- Maintains Formula/Raw Materials Specifications and Information in D365 as hard copies as per BMS and Group formula.- Supports production on technical issues related to batch processing and gives reprocessing instruction for expired, slow moving and off-specs Finished Goods and Raw Materials.-- Responsible in training laboratory staffs, and takes care of HSE issues as per Hempel's HSE policy.- To ensure adherence to company policies and procedures.- To ensure that a safe and healthy work environment exists by adhering to company health, safety and environment policies. Shall perform other related jobs/ tasks as required.Required education, experience and job-related skills:Bachelor's degree in Science (major in Chemistry) or any equivalent field- At least a minimum of 5 years of relevant working experience in quality control function.- Preferably with experience in paint /coatings /chemical manufacturing industries- Experience in stakeholder management and good understanding of commercial environment is key advantage- Able to work independently and in a fast pace environment and result oriented- Highly motivated with a positive learning attitude- Knowledge of raw materials- Colour management skills- Knowledge to use any ERP system- Computer literacy- Should be able to read, write and communicate in EnglishSounds like a match?More about HempelAt Hempel, you'll join a team of passionate and motivated individuals and become part of a global family with over almost 7,000 colleagues around the world.
