Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure WMI policies and procedures are adhered- Ensure pre start checks are conducted as required- Attend morning pre start and afternoon end of shift meetings- Show flexibility under urgent or breakdown conditions in order to service customer requirements, this may include reasonable amounts of overtime on weekdays, weekends and public holidays.- Promote 'Weir' brands and services throughout the territory and when on site.- Ensure the rubber lining process is effective and safe.- Maintain all rubber lining and company equipment in safe and working condition.- Ensure that materials are stored and used in a safe and appropriate manner.- Ability to assist in other work areas as required - ie pump fitting
You are responsible for ensuring that you operate on a day to day basis in a way that complies and promotes with company policy and the WMI Safety standards.- Ensure safety policies and systems are followed, including JSA's and/or risk assessments are completed for every job.- Ensure point of work risk assessments and safe start observations are completed.- Report all hazards and near misses- Participate in safety meetings, provide suggestions and solutions on safety issues.- Contribute to the development and implementation of SOP and SWI's- Responding with urgency to all reported hazards, stop any unsafe work practices or unsafe pieces of equipment when identified.- Ensure that PPE and safety equipment is maintained in the appropriate manner and to the required standard.

Job Knowledge/Education and Qualifications:
Minimum of two (2) years' experience in a Rubber Lining role.
Rubber Lining Skill Ability:
- Lines interior of tanks, valves, pipes, and similar articles with rubber sheeting to prevent corrosion of vessel, and to minimize contamination, shock, ignition, or explosion hazards to contents.
- May inject compressed air into vessel to bond lining to vessel walls and introduce live steam or place article in autoclave to vulcanize rubber lining.
- May test lining for holes faulty seams, using device that creates spark on contact with metal vessel through apertures in rubber.
- May visit equipment sites to install linings.
- May be designated according to article lined as Tank Insulator, Rubber ; Valve Liner, RubberWork Environment:
- Appropriate PPE should be worn in sites and workshop environments.- A positive attitude to safety- Ability to work well within a team environment- Ability to convert and adapt for other related jobs- Self-motivated and ability to demonstrate a high level of initiative in the role
