**What **You'll** Do**
As a Security Consulting Engineer (SCE), you will be responsible for providing technical guidance, design, implementation, and support for security projects and initiatives in the US region. You will work closely with the sales team, customers, partners, and vendors to identify and deliver security solutions that meet the customer's needs and expectations. You will also collaborate with cross-functional teams within Cisco to provide the best solutions for our customers.
You will be part of the Security Architecture team, which is responsible for delivering Cisco's security solutions portfolio, including network security, cloud security, endpoint security, threat intelligence, and identity and access management. You will have the opportunity to work with some of the most innovative and disruptive technologies in the industry, such as artificial intelligence, machine learning, blockchain, and quantum computing.

Our minimum requirements for this role are:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a relevant field
- 5+ years of experience in security engineering, consulting, or pre-sales, preferably in the IT industry
- Proven track record of delivering complex security projects and solutions
- Knowledge of Cisco's products, solutions, and services, especially in the areas of security
- Ability to travel within the assigned territory

Employees on sales plans earn performance-based incentive pay on top of their base salary, which is split between quota and non-quota components. For quota-based incentive pay, Cisco pays at the standard rate of 1% of incentive target for each 1% revenue attainment against the quota up to 100%. Once performance exceeds 100% quota attainment, incentive rates may increase up to five times the standard rate with no cap on incentive compensation. For non-quota-based sales performance elements such as strategic sales objectives, Cisco may pay up to 125% of target. Cisco sales plans do not have a minimum threshold of performance for sales incentive compensation to be paid.
