As the Senior Associate, Development Engineer Packaging, executing global commercialization projects for the Asia Region and assist in developing key special pack programs. This position has local and regional responsibilities.
**Essential Duties and Responsibilities**:
- Issue packaging component specifications and product recipes. Specify pallet patterns, perform and decide on packaging/component tests (like Static storage test; fiber tire test; etc.)
- Support to Global Research Development & Engineering (RD&E) for primary pack development and qualification in accordance with Global needs, compatibility testing, preparation, and decision together with relevant engineer
- Qualify developed methods/instructions in Manufacturing by attending the execution of required trials and support Manufacturing in Production Line Qualifications (PLQ)
- Support remote/local SC Johnson (SCJ) manufacturing sites and/or contractors and issue/support packaging recipes when the change is not affecting performance
- Evaluates and approve packaging materials (including 2nd sources) localizing the RD&E Product Chain Management (PCM) requirements to local/regional needs
- Coordinate for production of required products and samples for Marketing/Trade and compatibility testing and evaluate on new contractors' ability to produce the products up to SCJ standards
**Required** Skills / Experience / Competencies**:
- Bachelor's in Industrial Chemical Engineering OR Chemistry
- Minimum 3 to 5 years of experience in related field
