**RESPONSIBILITIES**:
The Senior Associate is expected to be able to perform all methods of research, including desktop research, interviews, forensic reviews, and field investigation. The Senior Associate is expected to maintain the highest level of integrity in conducting research. The role seeks a self-starter, motivated personality, as well as someone who is excited to learn about different industries & companies in Southeast Asia with special focus in Indonesia.
- Investigative research including but not limited to source information from primary & secondary sources and open source research and analysis.
- Tasks associated with forensic investigations such as document review, financial analysis, data analytics, investigative interviews and collating findings.
- Be creative in developing traditional and non-traditional sources of information, especially in areas where public information is limited
- Verify the credibility of the information and sources
- Field investigation
- Analyse the information, draw implications for clients
- Prepare high quality written and oral reports in English and local language (Bahasa Indonesia)

**REQUIREMENTS**:

- Strong academic background, preferably a degree in one of these fields from a top university - Business Studies, Economics, Journalism, Law, International Relations, Political Science, or Security Studies
- Minimum 3 years of commercial experience, preferably gained in a research-intensive environment
- Significant experience of living and working in Southeast Asia. Experiences in addition to Indonesia is plus)
- Ability to communicate with a high level of fluency and clarity in both writing and speech in English and Bahasa Indonesia. Any other additional language capabilities is plus.
- Good computer skills including MS Word, Excel and relationship mapping tools
- Experience in writing concise narrative reports and/or articles on complex matters.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Experience working with diverse teams
- Able to understand business, economic and political drivers
- Discreet and able to handle sensitive information in confidence
- Resourceful and analytical with good common sense and sound business acumen
