**Roles**:
We are looking for a savvy Senior Data Analyst to join our growing team of analytics experts. The person will be responsible for initiating and expanding our initiative on data analysis and reporting, as well as extracting hidden insights from data for cross functional areas.
**Responsibilities**:
- Works with large datasets from multiple data sources - compile and clean data before it is analyzed, automating these processes when possible
- Analyzes trends, determines accuracy and relevancy of data information using proper method and techniques and presents solutions as well as alternatives to issues when needed
- Applies inductive reasoning to combine separate pieces of information, or specific answers to problems
- Leverages literature (e.g. journal articles, white papers, etc.) and other publicly available data resources related to data requests to inform analysis when appropriate
- Prepares accurate and meaningful reports that describe and interpret findings of analyses for upper management decision making
- Produces reports that support strategic decision-making efforts
- Stay on top of the technology trends to be able to make use of different type of data efficiently
- Protects the confidentiality of customer records, information, and activities related activities as needed
Your Profile
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong problem solving and critical thinking skills with effective follow through, analyzing information and evaluating results to choose the best solution to solve problems
- Interest in learning and working with data within the insurance sector
- Eager to learn about financial modelling and financial accounting process
- Strong foundation and understanding in database, data architecture, database design, statistics and mathematics
- Ability to program using advance and complex SQL queries
- Ability to work on data pipeline and architecture esp. on AWS i.e. Redshift, RDS, S3
- Ability to use data build tool like dbt
- Ability to perform advanced functions in MS Excel
- Aptitude to work with technical software such as Tableau, Looker
- Ability to:
- Handle detail and constantly change between competing priorities
- Strategize and analyse the requirements to ensure high quality work is delivered
- Follow data confidentiality and security procedures
- Produce quality work under tight deadlines with strong attention to detail and accuracy
