**Your Role**:
**What You'll Be Doing**:
- Backend Development: Design, develop, and maintain scalable and robust backend systems using state-of-the-art technologies and best practices. Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code that meets business requirements.
- System Architecture: Collaborate with other backend squads to design and implement scalable and reliable backend architectures. Evaluate and recommend technologies, frameworks, and tools that enhance system performance and scalability.
- Database Selection and Optimization: Evaluate and select the most suitable database solution, whether it's SQL or NoSQL, based on our specific use case requirements. Design and optimize database schemas to ensure efficient data storage and retrieval.
- Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including frontend developers, product managers, and designers, to understand requirements and deliver high-quality software solutions. Collaborate effectively in an agile development environment.
- Participate in continuing education and training to remain current on best practices, learn new programming languages, and better assist other team members
**What We're Looking For**:
- BS or MS in Computer Science or a related technical discipline preferred but not required. Equivalent practical experience is a reasonable substitute
- Extensive Backend Experience: 5 - 10 years of professional experience in backend development, with a strong track record of delivering high-quality software solutions.
- Proficiency in Python (Tornado framework), Java Spring, and/or Golang is preferred
- Knowledge and experience with database and technologies such as PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Elasticsearch, Redis, and/or BigQuery is advantageous
- Hands-on experience with cloud platforms such as AWS (Amazon Web Services) or GCP (Google Cloud Platform).
- Strong Problem-Solving Skills: Exceptional problem-solving and analytical abilities, with a proven ability to tackle complex technical challenges.
- Continuous Learning Mindset: A passion for staying up-to-date with the latest industry trends, technologies, and best practices. Willingness to continuously learn and adapt to new technologies and tools as needed.
