To meet the minimum requirements for this position, senior mechanical engineers must have at least a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering and at least fifteen (15) years of total experience, including seven (7) years minimum experience in mechanical engineering and design within EPC projects and at least five (5) years of field mechanical construction, construction methodology of mechanical metallurgical processing equipment and at least expert in one (1) of mechanical systems installation and commissioning experience on site for major smelter or any major metallurgical plant projects.
Experience and expertise required to following at least one (1) of major metallurgical plant mechanical systems construction and commissioning on site:
- Flash Smelting, Flash Converting and Casting pyrometallurgical systems
- Copper Electro refinery hydrometallurgical systems
- Flash Smelter - Flash Converter and / or various furnaces cooling water systems
- Slag crushing, milling, grinding, flotation and dewatering systems
- Heavy metal filtration plant systems
- Gas cleaning, scrubbing, gas cooling, gas handling and off gas conveying system
- Sulphuric Acid plant systems
- Plant utilities with major expertise in: Turbines, power generators, air - gas conveying, slurry pumps and slurry piping, pneumatic and mechanical conveyors systems etc.
The senior site mechanical engineer shall have been previously in responsible charge of the mechanical construction works planning, mechanical construction work method statements reviews and mechanical equipment site installation supervision and or commissioning for at least one (1) smelter facilities or similar metallurgical plant EPC projects of similar scope and complexity of project execution on site, within the last seven (7) years of smelter or / and metallurgical plant projects, including various furnaces, burner, conveying system, lifting equipment, compression systems, pressure vessels, systems under pressure, boilers, pumps, storage acid tanks, blowers, heat exchangers, rotating machinery, material handling conveyors, various drives, hydraulic systems, pneumatic system, various furnaces cooling systems, off gas conveying systems, sulfuric acid plant systems etc.
**Responsibilities for senior mechanical site engineer**
- Responsible charge of the mechanical construction works planning, monitoring, mechanical systems and chain of processing equipment quantity surveying per equipment component, mechanical construction / equipment installation works method statements reviews and mechanical equipment site installation supervision and commissioning,
- Responsible for Mechanical Completion and Pre-commissioning completion of assigned mechanical system / systems
- Ensure that the construction contractor completes satisfactory handover of all systems thru PMC with key documents - asset registers, manuals, work process descriptions, as-built drawings, schematics, diagrams, warranties, data packages
- Ensure quality and compliance to parameters and codes preceding turnover to client establishment
- Review, comment, "Red line" on mechanical engineering design "IFC" drawings, P&ID during construction process on site.
- Review project "IFC" mechanical specifications "Red line" and implement compliance with construction, safety and quality regulations of the Government of Indonesia and industrial Codes and Standards during construction process on site.
- Perform daily QC and installation works method surveillances and mechanical inspections in accordance with approved ITPs, RFIs on assigned mechanical system installation on site.
- Confirms system's and components' capabilities by review testing methods and supervise system testing in accordance with approved testing methods
- Assures product quality by review mechanical testing methods and supervise system testing on site
- Plans and analyses all possible construction methodologies and recommends the best options to the Metallurgical Plant Project Manager for approval prior to execution at site and
